Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to manage the day-to-day workflows of our fund's existing assets. This role involves working closely with the asset management team to monitor and analyse cash flows, track and analyse asset performance, manage risk, oversee third-party partners, and execute the business plan.

The portfolio onboarding process involves tracking and summarizing reporting, preparing analytics, communicating status, processing and asset level activity to various groups, including asset management and investment teams, throughout the life of the investment.

Collaboration with the asset management team and external business partners is crucial in facilitating and reviewing performance, suggesting value enhancements where applicable.

We coordinate with third parties and internal teams on lender reporting, monitoring of loan covenants, and ensuring compliance with credit agreements.

The key terms in credit and purchase agreements will be outlined.

Operational efficiencies and information flow will be executed and enhanced with both internal and external teams.

Funding and distribution activity will be managed by working with internal/external teams.

Real Estate Technology Project Management

We work closely with the client's technology team and third-party consultants on high-priority real estate technology implementation initiatives.

Detailed review of chart of account mapping to real estate asset's trial balance accounts during the implementation stage of technology and onboarding of new deals will be performed.

Reviewing financial statement reconciliation and resolving mapping discrepancies to ensure that generated financial statements reflect deal activity and performance, as expected, is crucial.

Understanding how trial balance level accounts roll up to financial statements, determining the need for new trial balance accounts where necessary, is essential.

Assisting in managing third-party workflows is a critical aspect of this role.

A dynamic portfolio management tool will be utilized to analyze the deal's standardized financial statements, key performance metrics, and other partner reporting on a recurring basis.

Reviewing budget-to-actual and other outputs from the real estate portfolio management tool is a key responsibility.

Partner reporting requirements will be monitored.

Requirements

This role requires sound experience in asset management or related fields (Real Estate / Loans / Structured Products) with 6-8 years of experience.

Strong accounting knowledge with advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills is essential.

Financial and analytical skills with a well-developed understanding of key investment performance drivers are required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail and ability to multi-task are necessary.

Able to cultivate trust and build strong partnerships with different counterparts.

Training and mentoring junior team members is an important aspect of this role.

Advantageous Skills

Knowledge of third-party databases such as Yardi, Argus, CoStar, Real Page, Bloomberg, Alteryx, Tableau etc. is advantageous.

Hands-on experience with VBA macros is beneficial.

Academic Requirements

CPA/CFA/MBA or equivalent qualification in accounting & finance from a reputed institution is required.
