Robotics Engineer

We are seeking an experienced robotics professional to join our team at Harvested Robotics.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in precision positioning systems, control theory (PID, adaptive control, state-space), and BLDC motor control.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-precision gimbal & motor control systems for real-time laser targeting.
  • Design robust BLDC motor control algorithms with microsecond precision.
  • Integrate with the AI & perception team to connect weed detection with precision actuation.
  • Create sensor fusion pipelines combining IMU, GNSS, RTK, odometry, and custom sensors.
  • Test and tune control systems in real-world field conditions (dust, heat, vibrations, uneven terrain).
  • Scale your work to multi-laser, multi-unit robotic platforms for agriculture.
  • Implement safety mechanisms, redundancy, and fail-safe protocols for field deployment.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate actuators, gimbals, and hardware subsystems.

Requirements:

  • Experience with C++/Python programming on embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of ROS/ROS2 and communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet).
  • Ability to work at the intersection of hardware + software + field testing.

Preferred qualifications include experience in agricultural robotics, precision agriculture, or outdoor robotics, as well as knowledge of laser systems and safety standards.
