Electrical Design Specialist

About This Role

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the wastewater and water industry is required.
  • Proven experience in designing and drafting various components of wastewater treatment systems such as Activated Sludge Process, Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor, Sequencing Batch Reactor, Membrane Bioreactor, Digesters, Solids Handling Systems, etc.
  • Similar experience in designing and drafting various components of water treatment systems including conventional and advanced systems like desalination systems.
  • Ability to work closely with Project Engineers/Senior Engineers on various design tasks and deliverables.
  • Responsible for creating detailed electrical designs and drawings for new constructions and renovations to existing water treatment facilities, water booster pump stations, wastewater pump stations, and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Provide design, production, and documentation for electrical power and distribution systems, lighting, fire alarm systems, etc.
  • Develop electrical drawings for water infrastructure projects using AutoCAD, REVIT, and BIM software.
  • Production of tender documents such as P&IDs, single-line diagrams, control network diagrams, electrical hazardous area & grounding drawings, electrical and instrument location drawings, loop & schematic wiring diagrams, and standard details.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of technical aspects in project documentation produced in accordance with AECOM QA/QC procedures and client standards.
  • Take direction from Engineers and Project Leads.
  • Deliver project results on time with expected quality and allocated budget.
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Provide mentoring and support for junior CAD technicians.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent education in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college, institute, or university.
  • Completion of a drafting course from a recognized institution.
  • Working experience using REVIT, Autocad, and Microstation software.
  • Professional registration in their designated home office country or actively pursuing such registration.
