Production Manager Role

Job Description:


To lead and manage production planning and control activities in an automated corrugation plant, ensuring optimal utilization of resources, timely order execution, cost efficiency, and adherence to quality and safety standards.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring production progress and adjusting plans to meet changing priorities and urgent requirements.
  • Ensuring optimum utilization of plant capacity and minimizing downtime.
  • Coordinating with production, maintenance, and quality teams for smooth operations.
  • Maintaining inventory levels of raw materials, paper reels, inks, and adhesives as per production requirements.
  • Leading, guiding, and mentoring production planning & shop-floor teams.
  • Fostering collaboration across sales, procurement, logistics, and quality departments for seamless order execution.
  • Ensuring proper workforce allocation and shift planning.
  • Implementing lean manufacturing practices, process optimization, and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) like machine efficiency, productivity, wastage, and downtime.
  • Proposing and implementing cost-effective measures to improve overall plant performance.
  • Ensuring timely order fulfillment with adherence to quality standards.
  • Adhering to all safety, statutory, and environmental norms in plant operations.
  • Promoting a culture of workplace safety and hygiene.

Requirements:


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 12 to 15 years of experience in the production and planning function of an automated corrugated box manufacturing company.
  • Any BE or Diploma or graduate qualification.
  • Experience and knowledge in production planning functions of automated corrugation boxes manufacturing.
