Production Planning Manager Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned production planning professional to lead and manage production planning and control activities in our automated corrugated box manufacturing facility.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans that align with sales orders and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust plans to meet changing priorities and urgent requirements.
  • Evaluate plant capacity utilization and minimize downtime.
Operations Management:
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams for seamless operations.
  • Drive efficiency improvements in corrugation, printing, slotting, and finishing processes.
  • Maintain inventory levels of raw materials, paper reels, inks, and adhesives as per production needs.
Team Leadership & Coordination:
  • Lead, mentor, and guide production planning & shop-floor teams.
  • Foster collaboration across sales, procurement, logistics, and quality departments for smooth order execution.
  • Ensure proper workforce allocation and shift planning.
Process Improvement & Cost Optimization:
  • Implement lean manufacturing practices, process optimization, and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Track key performance indicators like machine efficiency, productivity, wastage, and downtime.
  • Suggest and implement cost-effective measures to enhance overall plant performance.
Customer & Quality Focus:
  • Guarantee timely order fulfillment while adhering to quality standards.
  • Address bottlenecks and proactively resolve issues impacting delivery commitments.
  • Drive continuous improvement to boost customer satisfaction.
Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure adherence to all safety, statutory, and environmental regulations in plant operations.
  • Promote a culture of workplace safety and hygiene.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 12-15 years of experience in production and planning roles within an automated corrugated box manufacturing company is required.
  • Bachelor's or Diploma degree in a relevant field is preferred.
