Job Title: Principal Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Engineer to lead high-voltage and low-voltage switchgear projects.

  • Ensure awareness of Job Specification requirements within task force team members.
  • Finalize Electrical Design Basis.
  • Review vendor drawings to ensure compliance with job specification and data sheets.
  • Participate in Task Force meeting for project updates and review.
  • Prepare Work Instruction Quality Level Document (QLD) for the project.
  • Check, review and approve drawing documents as per defined procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and control man-hours used on the project.
  2. Raise man hour variation to Project team for additional work.
  3. Ensure team is adequately resourced where deficiencies occur.
  4. Review output documents to ensure they meet project requirements and have been adequately checked.
  5. Carry out defined responsibilities when relocated externally or within a task force.
  6. Avoid difficulties related to project completion regarding vendor drawings.
  7. Review As-built drawing of the project.
  8. Participate in HSE reviews audits on the project.
  9. Arrange for lectures discussions within the task force to ensure understanding of HSE requirements on the project.
  10. Share HSE-related lessons within the task force members.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years relevant oil and gas experience within an engineering consultancy.
  • Conversant with IEC, IEEE, NEC and NORSOK standards.
  • Handled high voltage and low voltage switchgear in previous role.
  • Experience of working on offshore projects.
