Financial Operations Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Operations Associate to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring timely compliance with tax laws.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accounting software, including journal entries, payments, receipts, and bank transactions.
  • Perform monthly bank and vendor reconciliations. Support month-end and year-end financial closure activities.
  • Prepare and file GST (Goods and Services Tax) and TDS returns. Assist in internal and statutory audits by providing necessary documentation and data.
  • Support the finance team in preparing profit & loss statements, balance sheets, management information system reports, budget vs actuals, and cash flow analysis.
  • Liaise with banks, auditors, vendors, and internal teams. Maintain financial documentation and support other finance-related tasks as assigned.

Expected Deliverables:

  • Task Efficiency: Develop the ability to complete financial tasks efficiently and accurately. Contribute to faster financial reporting and reconciliation cycles.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas in accounting operations that can be streamlined or improved and propose practical solutions.
  • Proactive Ownership: Take initiative in financial operations and contribute actively to improving internal processes and controls.

Requirements:

  • Manage accounting entries and daily bookkeeping in accounting software.
  • Ensure timely GST and TDS filings and support during audits.
  • Prepare financial reports and assist in monthly reconciliations.
  • Liaise with stakeholders including vendors, banks, and auditors.
  • Support compliance, documentation, and financial record-keeping.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting and has at least 1 year of experience in accounting roles such as Accounts Associate or Finance Executive.
  • Experience in finance/accounting services or structured finance teams is preferred. Familiarity with tools like Zoho Books is a plus.
  • We're looking for someone detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing day-to-day accounting tasks with accuracy and ownership.
