Job Title: Transaction Monitoring Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all transactions processed within the organization. This includes the processing of complex and time-critical transactions on behalf of internal and external clients, as well as the handling of cash-related investigations.

This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payments flow, risk management, and regulatory compliance.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Process transactions in accordance with established procedures and cut-off times.
  • Assist the team in day-to-day operations and liaise with sending locations as necessary.
  • Communicate process-related clarifications to the team and collate data regarding process issues.
  • Carry out end-of-day functions as per checklists and maintain relevant records.
  • Ensure self-assessment reports are completed and signed off by responsible personnel.
  • Maintain records of procedural changes and communicate these to the manager.
  • Provide training to new recruits as per the Training Module.
  • Ensure proper backups are created within the department.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Clear understanding of payments flow and risk management principles.
  • Well-versed in SWIFT and back-office operations.
  • Risk and Regulatory expertise.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum graduation in any stream.
