Job Title: Lead US Audit Specialist
Location: Hybrid
About the Role:
A dynamic and experienced audit leader is sought to manage a portfolio of clients across the Construction industry, with additional responsibilities involving Government & Banking audits. As the primary point of contact for assigned clients, you will oversee all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and day-to-day operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Seniors, Senior Associates, and Associates in delivering timely and high-quality work, ensuring thorough execution of Reviews, Audits, and Compilations. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for developing productive relationships with key client contacts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage client portfolios, allocating professionals to assigned work and monitoring performance against standards.
- Proactively discuss workflow management with clients, monitoring utilization, budget to actuals, and other operational matters.
- Demonstrate professionalism, competence, and clarity of communication when dealing with client/engagement teams.
- Establish expectations regarding value to be delivered to respective client/engagement teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve scope of work and standardize audit processes.
- Contribute to technical and soft-skills training to continually develop the team's skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Articleship with Big4 or mid-tier accounting firms
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in US Audits
- Expert knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
- Proficiency in using various audit tools and applications
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Project management, leadership, coaching, counselling, and supervisory skills
- Robust logical and reasoning skills
