Key Role: Battery System Integration Specialist

We seek a highly skilled and motivated specialist to lead our dynamic team in electrical integration strategies and requirements for battery systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the design team to develop comprehensive electrical integration plans for battery systems, including power distribution, battery management systems, Chargers, Powertrains, and safety systems.
  • Design and implement optimized electrical integration solutions for battery systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Perform detailed electrical analysis and simulations to optimize battery system performance, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential challenges and propose mitigation strategies during battery system integration.
  • Work closely with suppliers and vendors to evaluate and select components for battery systems, ensuring compatibility and reliability.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate the electrical integration of battery systems, including functional testing, performance evaluation, and safety testing.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of electrical integration issues, proposing and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other engineers and technicians involved in battery system integration.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience of 5-7 years in electrical integration of battery systems, preferably in the automotive, aerospace, or energy storage industries.
  • Proficiency in electrical design tools and software, such as CAD, simulation tools (e.g., SPICE), and PCB design software.
  • Strong knowledge of battery systems, including lithium-ion chemistries, BMS, and electrical safety requirements.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 26262, IEC 62133, and UN 38.3.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve electrical integration issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Knowledge of battery manufacturing processes and quality control.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working with advanced battery technologies and emerging trends in the industry.
  • Certification in electrical safety or a related field.
