Role Summary :

As a Lead Data Integration, you will be responsible for managing a team of data integration professionals, overseeing the delivery of high-quality data solutions, and ensuring adherence to best practices across architecture, design, and project execution. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with proven leadership and project management skills to drive innovation, performance, and continuous improvement in the data integration space.

Key Responsibilities :

Managerial Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor a team of data integration specialists.

- Manage project planning, resource allocation, and team capacity utilization.

- Report project and delivery status to senior management.

- Enforce adherence to technical standards and corporate governance.

- Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technical domains.

- Drive team upskilling and contribute to capability building within the COE.

Technical Responsibilities :

- Review and guide technical and functional designs for ETL/ELT processes.

- Architect future-state data integration systems; understand current system landscape.

- Ensure compliance with data governance, quality, and security practices.

- Estimate effort for ETL activities and ensure accurate workload planning.

- Troubleshoot and optimize AWS Glue and PySpark processes.

- Maintain technical standards for DataStage, Talend, and related tools.

- Oversee data modeling, source-target mappings, and performance tuning.

- Manage and execute end-to-end data migration projects (on-prem to cloud).

Delivery Responsibilities :

- Ensure quality assurance of team deliverables.

- Oversee deployment, validation, and production support activities.

- Own the creation and maintenance of documentation for developed processes.

- Deliver solutions that align with performance, scalability, and security benchmarks.

Strategic & Initiative Responsibilities :

- Define and drive process improvements and automation initiatives.

- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using DevOps tools.

- Lead efforts in interface optimization and data quality improvements.

- Support COE initiatives and provide leadership across cross-functional projects.

Key Skills and Technologies :

Technical Skills :

- Expertise in AWS Glue, PySpark, and Redshift

- Proficiency in IBM DataStage (v11.7), Talend, and Microsoft SSIS

- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL architecture, and data security

- Experience with cloud-native architectures and AWS services

- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git), and scripting (PowerShell, .bat)

- Familiarity with relational databases: PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL

Leadership & Soft Skills :

- Strong stakeholder and crisis management

- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

- Excellent communication and team mentoring skills

- Proactive problem-solving and analytical thinking

Education :

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (B.Tech/BCA)

- Masters Degree preferred (MBA, M.Tech, MCA)

Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory):

- AWS Certified Data Analytics / Solutions Architect

- Data Governance or Data Management certifications (e.g., DAMA)
