Database Architect Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance databases that support our business operations.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB) and traditional SQL-based databases (MySQL, MariaDB, Percona). Strong knowledge of data modeling, database normalization, and query optimization is required.

The Database Architect will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the development and implementation of reliable and scalable database solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement high-performance databases using NoSQL and SQL technologies
  • Develop and maintain robust data models, ensuring optimal data integrity and security
  • Collaborate with engineers to design and develop efficient database queries
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization to improve database efficiency
  • Analyze database logs to identify potential issues and implement corrective measures
  • Document database designs, configurations, and performance metrics
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in database administration and architecture
  • Proven expertise in NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB) and traditional SQL-based databases (MySQL, MariaDB, Percona)
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, database normalization, and query optimization
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting systems
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience required.
