Primary Years Programme Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to lead our Primary Years Programme.

  • The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering an engaging, student-centered environment.
  • They will work closely with teachers, students, and parents to promote the principles of the IB framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and review the PYP curriculum in alignment with IB guidelines.
  2. Collaborate with teachers to ensure effective delivery of the PYP and foster a culture of inquiry and reflection.
  3. Provide guidance and support for teachers in the development of transdisciplinary units and inquiry-based learning experiences.
  4. Organize and lead professional development workshops and training sessions for staff.
  5. Engage with parents and the school community to promote understanding of the PYP.
  6. Coordinate and support student assessments and maintain records as per IB requirements.
  7. Stay updated with IB developments and changes to ensure the school's adherence to IB standards.
  8. Facilitate communication between all stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and the IB organization.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • IB PYP Coordinator training or certification
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in teaching and a strong understanding of the IB framework, particularly the PYP
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong leadership abilities and a commitment to professional growth
