Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team and lead the development of innovative roof rail systems for passenger vehicles.

About the Role:

  1. Develop and implement roof rail designs for hatchback, SUV, and passenger vehicle programs.
  2. Evaluate designs based on structural integrity, safety, aesthetics, and manufacturability to ensure feasibility.
  3. Optimize designs for cost, durability, and packaging efficiency.
  4. Maintain awareness of interface with adjacent systems (roof, body side, sealing, trim).
  5. Prepare and review 3D/2D design documentation in CATIA V5.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (styling, BIW, trim, manufacturing) to achieve project goals.
  7. Apply learnings from prior vehicle program experiences to improve design efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Experience in CATIA V5 design software.
  • Strong understanding of material properties (aluminum, steel, hybrid materials).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
