Senior Ruby on Rails Developer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails developer to join our engineering team. As a senior member, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance web applications using Ruby on Rails.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Application Development: Develop robust and scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails, ensuring they meet performance and security standards.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to best practices (TDD, code reviews, continuous integration).
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, fostering open communication and collaboration.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Troubleshooting: Debug and troubleshoot production issues efficiently, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth application operation.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development, with a strong understanding of the framework's nuances.
  • Strong expertise in ActiveRecord, including data modeling, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Solid experience working with PostgreSQL, covering data modeling, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Excellent grasp of OOP principles and design patterns, ensuring well-structured and maintainable code.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, enabling effective troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience or working knowledge of React.js or other front-end frameworks, enhancing overall application development capabilities.
  • Familiarity with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and cloud-native application development, expanding the scope of technical expertise.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless deployment and management of applications.
