Port Infrastructure Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Port Infrastructure Project Manager to lead our team in delivering major port development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute structural engineering designs for port infrastructure projects, including breakwaters, jetties, quays, docks, and seawalls.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for the execution of port infrastructure projects, ensuring quality standards, budget constraints, and project timelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, government agencies, and engineers, to integrate structural designs into overall projects.
  • Risk and safety management: oversee risk mitigation strategies and safety measures, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and safety standards.
  • Site supervision and quality assurance: supervise construction activities on-site, providing technical guidance, resolving issues, and ensuring high-quality standards for structural integrity and sustainability.
  • Design optimization: implement advanced structural engineering principles, optimizing designs for cost-effectiveness, resilience, and environmental sustainability.
  • Project documentation and reporting: prepare progress reports, design reviews, and technical documentation for stakeholders, ensuring transparency and compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on marine and port infrastructure, breakwaters, jetties, quay walls, etc., with significant PMC experience.
  • Post-graduate degree in Structural Engineering, specializing in marine structures or coastal engineering.
  • Proven experience in project management of large-scale port projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in structural engineering software, such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, and other tools for design and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of marine structures, including their response to wave forces, tide variations, sediment movement, and marine environmental conditions.
  • Ability to lead and manage teams, collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and ensure project milestones are met.
  • Expertise in contract management, procurement, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and environmental standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to present design concepts and project progress to stakeholders and clients.
