Job Summary

We're seeking a seasoned senior leader to spearhead our Big Data & Cloud Engineering team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for an innovative and forward-thinking individual who can develop strategic objectives, drive results and anticipate solutions to complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and manage a high-performing team to achieve strategic goals and deliver business value.
  • Establish the technical vision and roadmap for the team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Develop operational plans to address resource challenges and optimize efficiency, leveraging expertise in Big Data infrastructure & application development/operations.
  • Maintain timely communication with the team regarding organizational updates and key initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 10–15 years of experience in Big Data infrastructure & application development/operations.
  • 4–5 years of experience in distributed Azure cloud environments.
  • Proficient in Big Data stacks: Apache Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Hive, Flume, Sqoop, PostGres, Kubernetes, Oozie, Airflow.
  • Experience with Data Mesh, Databricks, Synapse.
  • Strong understanding of scalability, stability, and security in cloud-based applications.
  • Hands-on with container & virtualization technologies.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools: Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Zabbix, ELK, Splunk.
Preferred Skills
  • Python, Scala, R programming skills.
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, load balancing).
