Compliance Specialist

The role of a Compliance Specialist involves designing and implementing comprehensive compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining risk-based testing programs to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify potential compliance risks
  • Conducting thorough assessments and analysis of internal processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement
  • Providing expert guidance and support to senior stakeholders on compliance matters, including issue classification and reporting
  • Designing and delivering training programs to educate colleagues on compliance policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with business partners to develop remediation plans to address findings and implement process improvements

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in internal audit, regulatory compliance, or a related field, preferably in a Big Four firm or a financial institution
  • Good academic qualifications and relevant certifications, such as Chartered Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, or Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist
