The Director of Fundraising is a leadership role that drives the organization's fundraising efforts globally. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve predictable, diversified funding and lifetime donor value.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy & Implementation: Develop a 3-year fundraising plan with targets by segment and program, owning the full donor lifecycle from research to stewardship.
  2. Partnerships & External Relations: Represent the organization with credibility, secure strategic partnerships with high-influence networks, and co-create bespoke propositions.
  3. Brand & Communications: Partner with Communications to run an integrated brand + fundraising calendar, oversee investment-grade proposals, and build crisis-ready messaging.
  4. Team, Systems & Governance: Lead fundraising efforts across the organization, implement a CRM or DMS, establish clear SOPs, and ensure compliance with international requirements.
  5. Budgeting, Reporting & KPIs: Own the fund development budget, track ROI by channel, and provide monthly board-ready dashboards.

  • Board-approved 3-year strategy and year-1 operating plan with segment-wise targets.
  • Live CRM with qualified prospects.
  • ₹ X crore in signed or near-close commitments.

Annual KPIs

  • Total funds raised vs plan.
  • Renewal rate (≥70% by value for renewable donors).
  • Upgrade rate (≥20%).

Qualifications

  • Master's in Marketing/Business/Communications or related.
  • 8–10+ years of direct fundraising with a proven major-gifts and institutional track record.
  • Experience launching or scaling new initiatives.
  • Strong grasp of donor management, digital marketing, brand positioning, and campaign/event orchestration.
