Backend Software Engineer

We are building a cutting-edge AI-first workspace to empower the future of work.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled backend software engineer to join our fast-paced team and tackle one of the most important challenges in tech: how small teams adopt AI.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling backend systems that power our AI-first workspace.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of databases, APIs, and distributed systems, as well as experience with Node.js/TypeScript, PostgreSQL/Redis, GraphQL APIs, and cloud platforms like AWS/GCP.

Additionally, you should be comfortable working in an environment that's demanding, unstructured, and moving at startup speed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build scalable backend systems that power our AI-first workspace.
  • Develop APIs and services to support real-time collaboration, persistent memory, and AI experts/skills.
  • Work closely with frontend, AI, and product teams to ship features quickly.
  • Optimize for scalability, performance, and security as we grow from dozens → thousands of users.
Requirements
  • 3+ years experience in backend development.
  • Strong understanding of databases, APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Builder mindset – you're excited to ship fast, learn from users, and iterate.
  • Passionate about AI, SaaS, and how small teams work.
  • Comfortable in an environment that's demanding, unstructured, and moving fast.
