Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Principal Engineer - VRF Cycle Design to lead our efforts in developing innovative refrigeration cycle designs that meet performance standards and cost targets for various regions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in HVAC product development, particularly in VRF cycle control and design optimization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new VRF cycle designs based on global PV studies and performance requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct cycle design validation and verification
  • Lead the development of technical documents and specifications for VRF cycle design
  • Establish and maintain VRF cycle standards
  • Participate in cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement activities
  • Troubleshoot customer complaints and participate in product benchmarking activities
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Refrigeration, Thermal Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 10 years of experience in HVAC company VRF development
  • Proven expertise in VRF cycle control and design optimization
  • Familiarity with VRF product performance standards for various markets
  • Experience in project management and leadership
  • Proficiency in using cycle simulation tools
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Familiarity with HVAC product regulations (CE, CB, GB, UL, AHRI, IEC, etc.)
  • Fluency in Japanese language
