Thermal and Structural Design Expert

We are seeking a skilled Thermal and Structural Design Expert to join our team.

  • Develop thermal and structural design solutions for various products.
  • Work closely with component suppliers to ensure optimal performance.

The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of preparing test plans for validation of analysis solutions.

They should be able to work in environmentally controlled chambers and meet industry standards/specifications.

Additionally, they will be responsible for thermo-mechanical and structural design from concept to final product.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher qualification.
  • 12+ years of related experience + BE or Masters + 10 years in product development.
  • Experience in thermal design of inverters and battery energy storage systems development is preferred.
  • Good expertise in one or more analysis tools such as Simcenter Flotherm, Icepack, Solidworks Flow simulation, ANSYS Structural, COMSOL Multiphysics MSC Nastran etc.

  • Good knowledge of product standards like IEC, UL & NEMA standards for different countries.
  • Ability to prepare simplified CAD geometries to perform CFD simulations independently using tools like Solidworks.

  • Experience in both thermal and structural simulations (FEA).
  • Experience in passive cooling techniques like heat pipes, phase change materials, and other state-of-the-art techniques.
