Precision CAD Engineer Role

As a precision CAD engineer, you will be responsible for designing and documenting CNC-machined and cast components. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative products that push the boundaries of precision and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in 2D mechanical engineering, with a primary focus on CNC machining and casting. Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and other CAD software is essential, along with strong working knowledge of GD&T principles.

This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals. The successful candidate will be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines while maintaining high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and document precision parts using CAD software
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to iterate on designs
  • Support design reviews and provide technical input on manufacturability
  • Perform simulations and tests to validate designs

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-7 years of experience in 2D mechanical engineering
  • Proficient in SOLIDWORKS and other CAD software
  • Strong working knowledge of GD&T principles
  • ISO or ASME Y14.5 certification is strongly preferred but not mandatory
