Oracle EBS Apps DBA Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Application Database Administrator to support our E-business Suite upgrade initiative. The role involves managing all technical aspects of the upgrade, including cloning, patching, performance tuning, and ADOP.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute Oracle EBS R12.1.x to R12.2.X upgrades
  • Perform pre-upgrade analysis, cloning, patching, cutover execution
  • Install, configure, and maintain EBS Tech stack components
  • Monitor and manage application environments (Dev, Test, UAT, Pre-Prod, Production)
  • Execute patches, database upgrades, and online patching
  • Conduct impact analysis and work with development teams for retrofitting and testing
  • Follow Oracle recommended best practices and compliances
  • Support cut-over planning and execution
  • Provide post-upgrade support, including troubleshooting and patch management

Requirements:

  • 10-12 years of experience as an Oracle Apps DBA
  • Minimum two full-cycle upgrades from R12.1.x to R12.2.x
  • Strong knowledge of AD/TXK Patching, Edition-based Redefinition
  • Proficient in Oracle Database, SQL Tuning, and Concurrent Manager configurations
  • Experience with WebLogic Server and troubleshooting in R12.2
  • Hands-on experience with cloning, backup, recovery, and environment refreshes
