We are seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to join our team. This is a challenging role that involves providing Level 1 support for Linux-based systems and servers.

Job Description:

This position requires a strong foundation in Linux administration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration or as a Linux Technical Support Analyst.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Level 1 support for Linux-based systems and servers.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure optimal operation.
  • Handle basic system administration tasks like user management, permission handling, service restarts, and log monitoring.
  • Respond to tickets, troubleshoot issues, and escalate unresolved problems to L2/L3 teams.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and standard procedures clearly.
  • Work closely with internal teams to maintain uptime and service levels.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs and participate in shift rotations if required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong command-line knowledge of Linux distributions (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Familiarity with basic networking and system tools (e.g., SSH, top, netstat, systemctl).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Basic scripting (Bash, Python) for automating routine tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
