Software Development Specialist

This role involves leading moderately complex initiatives within technical environments, contributing to large-scale planning, and designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting projects.
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.
- Contribute to large-scale planning of strategies.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domains.
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures.
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Relationship experience with business partners (SMES, stakeholders, PMs) and technology partners (data analysts, application developers, QA analysts).
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on data ingestion, data transformation issues within a prescribed timeline.
- Strong understanding of Big Data technologies, data analytics, data governance, and data security principles.
- Experience in deploying applications using Event-driven architecture.
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum 4+ year experience in IT and relevant experience (Data Engineering).
- Working experience in Agile process.
- Strong knowledge in Hadoop, Spark, Hive.
- Experience in CI/CD pipeline tools specifically with Jenkins.
- Familiarity with Java/Python programming.
- Good understanding of Domain-Driven Design thinking.
