The Tax Services Group comprises highly skilled tax specialists providing expert guidance on international, US federal, state, and local regulations. They help develop effective tax strategies to minimize or defer tax payments, ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting obligations are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of complex partnership, corporation, and S-Corporation returns prepared by staff, senior, and associates.
  • Resolve queries related to potential tax adjustments due to tax law changes.
  • Identify international filing requirements through org chart studies and review international tax returns.
  • Train existing and new joiners on concepts and technology, and provide timely feedback for each project reviewed.
  • Supervise kick-off and regular connects with US counterparts by teams, intervening in budget conflicts, resource scheduling conflicts, etc.
  • Guide teams on efile validation of returns to prevent rejects and errors.
  • Manage and coach aligned professionals for their career paths.
  • Responsible for quality and turnaround of returns for aligned offices and niches.
  • Provide regular and detailed feedback, motivating teams during Tax seasons.
  • Maintain good correspondence with US point of contacts for seamless process flow, and regularly touch-base with schedulers to keep teams occupied and share return status.
  • Execute assignments in an effective manner, including appropriate delegation and monitoring of work.
  • Assist in hiring as needed to place potential candidates.
  • Assist leadership teams with analyzing data and provide insights to help them navigate the plan.
  • Have regular connects with aligned professionals to discuss potential opportunities for growth of the business and team members.
  • Perform performance reviews of aligned professionals and provide clear career paths for growth.
  • Provide constructive feedback along with potential opportunities from improvements and growth.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7-10 years of post-qualification hands-on experience with U.S. accounting firms.
  • Chartered Accountant or CPA preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of U.S. Tax Code required.
  • At least 5 years of leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
  • Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal communication.
  • Strong commitment to an entrepreneurial work ethic.
  • Competently analyzes and prioritizes information to make recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously and communicate effectively with Domestic (US) engagement teams.
