Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

  • Main Responsibilities:">

  • Billing & Invoicing: Generate accurate invoices, review them for compliance with company policies and distribute to clients. Prepare customer statements and bills for financial records accuracy.">

  • Payment Processing & Account Management:">

  • Process payments, record them in the system and apply to relevant accounts. Monitor receivable balances, track overdue accounts and follow up with clients for timely collections. Investigate payment discrepancies and resolve billing issues.">

  • Reporting & Reconciliation:">

  • ">
  • Prepare accounts receivable reports including aging analysis and collection activities. Process account adjustments, issue credit memos and support reconciliations with other departments. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.">

  • Customer Dispute Resolution:">

  • ">
  • Resolve disputes with professionalism and ensure swift resolution to maintain positive client relationships.">

  • Compliance, Documentation & Controls:">

  • ">
  • Maintain organized and confidential records of invoices, receipts and correspondence. Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls and financial regulations. Provide documentation for internal and external audits.">

  • Process Improvements & Collaboration:">

  • ">
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives within accounts receivable. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall efficiency.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • About 2-4 years of hands-on accounting experience preferably with Canadian accounting firms or public practice.">
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field (e.g., B. Com, M. Com, CAs).">
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ability to handle multiple clients and work pressure. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.">
  • Good understanding of Canada is essential for this position.">
