Technical Program Manager Role Overview

The role of Technical Program Manager is critical in driving high-priority and high-profile programs across various engineering teams. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and smooth program launches, and fostering strong partnerships with engineering leaders to drive strategic objectives.

As a skilled Technical Program Manager, you will possess deep technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. Your success in this role will depend on your ability to identify and mitigate risks, develop detailed plans with key milestones and goals, and ensure alignment between teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute detailed project plans with key milestones and goals
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects/programs and prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Collaborate with engineering leaders to drive focus on strategic and tactical program objectives
  • Provide regular reporting on project status, risks, issues, and mitigation plans
  • Identify gaps and unblock issues that hinder project progress

Requirements and Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of full-time technical program management experience within an engineering or technical team
- B.S./B.A. degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated success managing multiple major and concurrent projects/programs
- Significant experience working with software engineering leadership, technical teams, individual contributors, and external clients
- Knowledge of complex technical ecosystems and adequate technical depth
