Data Engineer

Job Description

The role of a Data Engineer involves designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems. This includes creating data pipelines, implementing data processing algorithms, and ensuring the efficient storage and retrieval of data.

As a Data Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and requirements for data-related projects. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions that meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Implement Data Pipelines: Design and implement scalable data pipelines using tools like PySpark and SQL to process large datasets efficiently.
  2. Work with Stakeholders: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and requirements for data-related projects and design solutions to meet those needs.
  3. Optimize Data Models: Optimize data models for performance and efficiency, and ensure they align with business objectives.
  4. Implement ETL Processes: Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to load data into the data warehouse in a timely and efficient manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with AWS Services: Experience working with AWS services such as Athena, Glue, Lambda, DMS, RDS, Redshift, Cloud Formation, and other AWS serverless resources.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Good Understanding of Data Architecture: A good understanding of data architecture principles and the ability to design and implement data architectures that meet business needs.
