Job Title:

Director of Litigation and Compliance

The Director of Litigation and Compliance will oversee the company's litigation and dispute resolution procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling litigation matters, including RoW compensation, Land Acquisition, Arbitration, and Constitutional cases
  • Representing the company in Writ Courts, District Courts, DRT, and other tribunals
  • Drafting and finalizing legal documents, including SLPs and writ petitions
  • Briefing senior and external legal counsels on matters
  • Preparing and monitoring Legal MIS for control and monitoring
  • Managing and strategizing litigation to achieve company objectives
  • Providing legal advice on positions and latest court decisions
  • Ensuring prompt and cost-effective disposal of legal issues
  • Managing critical/high-stake litigation
  • Drafting and negotiating contracts as per business requirements
  • Ensuring company compliance with statutory and legal requirements
  • Risk analysis and drafting legal agreements
  • Thorough knowledge of law, especially Electricity and Telegraph Acts

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • LLB degree
  • 8-12 years of experience in handling litigation
  • Experience in the Power sector
  • Knowledge of construction, EPC, or Infrastructure sectors
