Medical Transcriptionist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Transcriptionist to join our team. As a Medical Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for transcribing medical dictations from audio recordings made by doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe accurate and complete medical reports from audio recordings.
  • Edit and proofread transcripts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
  • Understand complex medical terminology and apply it accurately in transcription.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records and adhere to data protection guidelines.
  • Use technology to work efficiently with transcription software, speech recognition tools, and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Format reports according to hospital or clinic requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers for clarification when needed.
  • Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
Required Skills:
  • Strong listening skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and abbreviations.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills.
  • Good grammar, punctuation, and editing ability.
  • Knowledge of healthcare documentation standards.
  • Familiarity with medical transcription software & EHR systems.
  • Ability to work independently with high concentration.
Qualifications:

Any graduate is welcome to apply. Specialized medical transcription training/certification is highly preferred.
