Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Inspire Your Team: Set clear goals, mentor team members, and foster a culture of impact, collaboration, and rapid learning. Implement Agile Processes: Prioritize speed without sacrificing quality or security. Collaborate Closely with Customers: Understand their AI safety challenges and translate them into actionable roadmaps aligned with their innovation cycles.
  • Deliver Tools and Services: Ensure AI applications are aligned, robust, interpretable, and safe. Oversee Platform Development: Implement platforms for alignment assessments, adversarial testing, drift detection, and interpretability analysis. Makes Informed Decisions: Optimize speed and customer integration by making informed build vs. buy decisions.
  • Champion Engineering Excellence: Establish secure coding practices, automation, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code. Ensure System Reliability: Define SLAs, SLOs, rigorous testing, and clear operational dashboards to guarantee system reliability.
  • Innovate Within AI Safety Methodologies: Stay current with cutting-edge research in AI safety, adversarial testing, and model evaluation. Pilot Emerging Techniques: Enhance our offerings and accelerate customer deployments by piloting emerging techniques.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years managing technical teams or complex projects, and a strong track record of delivering results-driven solutions.
  • Proven expertise in developing AI, ML, or data-intensive platforms or services, with a deep understanding of industry trends and best practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including talent development, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration, with a focus on driving business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge technical concepts with customer value and drive business growth.
