Core Banking Specialist

Oracle Financial Services Software Limited seeks a skilled Core Banking Functional Implementation Specialist to join our team.
About the RoleThis exciting opportunity will involve working on the implementation of Oracle's next-generation banking products, leveraging cutting-edge technologies. As a key member of our Banking Consulting team, you will apply your domain expertise to drive successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities- Lead or participate in Development or Implementation or Managed Service activity streams, encompassing Gap Analysis and Solution Fitment, parameterization, test execution, defect tracking, and coordination with other Oracle teams at client locations or offshore teams.
- Document and review Requirement Specifications Documents.
- Analyze business requirements, contribute to functional design, and document/review Functional Specification documents.
- Travel as required to client locations onsite (within and outside of India) for implementations and participate in product walkthroughs and POC workshops.
- Work collaboratively with onsite collaborators and client personnel to ensure project success during implementations.
- Adhere to defined standards/tools/processes to achieve work that meets quality expectations of Oracle/Client.
- Document all work according to agreed standards/applicable processes for Oracle/Client.
- Perform accurate handover/knowledge transfer at end of each assignment.
- Timely status reporting to supervisor.
- Candidate must be able to work independently and with teams.
- He/She must possess detailed functional knowledge with strong banking and business knowledge in Corporate Banking (trade finance, corporate loans) and excellent knowledge of banking terminologies, concepts, and processes relating to corporate banking.
- Oracle FLEXCUBE/Core Banking Products or modules and end-to-end implementation experience will be an added advantage.
- He/She should have the ability to collaborate and connect with client Business Teams independently.
- Candidate must have the ability to understand client requirements and map them to 'off-the-shelf' products or product features to decide whether they would be more suitable than building a new system from scratch.
- Experience in Requirement gathering and solution design and preparation of functional specification.
- He/She should be able to analyze solution approaches, Test case preparation, Test case executions, project risks, and recommendations.
- He/She should be able to understand client requirements and map them to 'off-the-shelf' products or product features to decide whether they would be more suitable than building a new system from scratch.
- He/She should have excellent analytical, presentation, and communications skills, proven ability to translate business requirements into technology specifications by communicating and participating in the project meetings and Product-Walkthrough workshops with the Customers.
- He/She possesses IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word + Excel + PowerPoint).
- He/She has good communication & documentation skills in English.
- Experience in implementation and/or support of core banking applications.
- Should hold at least a bachelor's degree in business or equivalent degree.
- He/She should be willing to work at offshore as well as travel to client locations for short, medium, or long duration assignments.
- He/She Should be willing to work in shifts.
- He/She Should be willing to take up FLEXCUBE certifications in functions as and when required.
- He/She has the ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and exciting environment.
- Demonstrable Understanding on more than one of following banking domains - CASA+Term deposits, Loans, Trade Finance, Treasury (Forex, Money Markets, Securities, Derivatives), Payments.
- If ex-banker, hands-on experience with application for product configuration and testing is a must. Hands-on experience in this should NOT be older than 1 year in this activity.
- If non-banker, then development and testing experience is a must.
- Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
- International banking exposure is a plus.
- Experience/exposure to new areas such as origination, virtual account management (VAM), Liquidity Management, Block chain is a plus.
- He/She possesses knowledge of basic SQL query writing, Report writing, Workflow/dashboard creation.
- He/She has exposure to software development processes and practices, Testing tools.
- He/She is aware of the newest technologies in Banking.
Estimated Salary: ₹15,00,000 - ₹25,00,000 per annum.
