We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to help us develop technology solutions that meet our business needs. In this role, you will work on our new platform built using MS SQL Server and MYSQL Server. Your primary responsibility will be managing production database servers, including security, deployment, maintenance, and performance monitoring.

You will set up SQL Server replication, mirroring, and high availability as required across hybrid environments. Additionally, you will design and implement new installations on Azure, AWS, and cloud hosting with no specific DB services.

As a Database Administrator, you will deploy and maintain on-premise installations of SQL Server on Linux/My SQL installation. You will also ensure database security and protection against SQL injection, exploiting intellectual property, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage production databases servers, including security, deployment, maintenance, and performance monitoring.
  • Set up SQL Server replication, mirroring, and high availability as required across hybrid environments.
  • Design and implement new installations on Azure, AWS, and cloud hosting with no specific DB services.
  • Deploy and maintain on-premise installations of SQL Server on Linux/My SQL installation.
  • Evaluate and improve database security and protection against SQL injection, exploiting intellectual property, etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with SQL Server management on Hybrid environments (on-premise and cloud).
  • Knowledge of MySQL Backup, SQL Server Backup, Replication, Clustering, Log shipping experience on Linux/Windows.
  • Familiarity with setting up, management, and maintenance of SQL Server/MySQL on Linux.
  • Strong understanding of web-based applications and technologies.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as SQL Server DBA and My SQL DBA and 2+ years of experience as My SQL DBA including Replication, Inno DB Cluster, Upgrading, and Patching.
