Internal Audit Leader

Our organization is seeking a seasoned Internal Audit Leader to spearhead and enhance our internal audit function. This pivotal role will be based at our headquarters, where the ideal candidate will oversee ensuring the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes across the organization.

This strategic position reports directly to senior leadership and plays a critical part in safeguarding the company's financial integrity and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an internal audit strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and reporting of financial, operational, and compliance audits.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to the internal audit team.
  • Identify and assess areas of financial and operational risk.
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
  • Work closely with management to implement and monitor risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure strict compliance with internal policies, procedures, and applicable statutory/regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards, and assess their impact on business practices.
  • Present audit findings, insights, and actionable recommendations to senior management and the audit committee.
  • Develop and deliver periodic audit reports and dashboards.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing audit team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, integrity, and accountability.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure transparency and control across operations.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
  • At least 5-12 years of progressive experience in internal auditing within the healthcare industry.
  • A proven track record in risk management, financial auditing, and governance.
