Job Title: Technical Cloud Solutions Engineer

This is a 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Working Hours: Full EST hours, night shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage EC2 instances, S3 buckets, VPCs, RDS databases, and Lambda functions.
  • Backup and High-Availability Solutions: Assist in design, implementation, and maintenance of these solutions to ensure business continuity.
  • Automation Scripts and Tools: Develop and monitor automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud and on-prem resources.
  • System Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement betterments to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.
  • Security Best Practices: Implement security best practices and compliance standards to safeguard cloud environments.
  • SaaS Platforms Administration: Administer company SaaS platforms to ensure user productivity and satisfaction.
  • DevOps and Development Team Collaboration: Collaborate with teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and support application deployments.
  • Tech Support: Provide technical guidance and support to junior cloud engineers and other team members.
  • Cloud Service Evaluation: Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices, and evaluate their applicability to our infrastructure.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing AWS cloud solutions.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures.
  • Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies and orchestration tools is a plus.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools is required.
  • Proven hands-on experience supporting Okta SSO Platform.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
