Sports Content Editor Job Opportunity

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Sports Content Editor to join our editorial team. As a Sports Content Editor, you will be responsible for verifying the legitimacy of statistical data and facts, proofreading, and enhancing the quality of content before it goes live on our website.

The ideal candidate will have a good grasp of the fundamentals of the English language and be accustomed to American culture. You should be quick with fact-checking and enhancing the editorial quality of content, take ownership of publishing articles on time, and be flexible for event-coverage days.

You will also have leadership qualities, be a good judge of character, and have a knack for people management. A keen eye for enticing titles and subheadings, as well as basic SEO knowledge, is essential.

To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of 6-12 months of experience in proofreading and/or content editing. Prior experience of leading a team of writers would be an additional plus.
