Senior Plywood Chemist

Sarda Plywood Industries Ltd., a leading manufacturer of plywood in India, seeks an experienced Senior Chemist to join our team in Rajkot, Gujarat. This challenging role requires a highly skilled professional with 7-10 years of experience in chemical analysis and process control.

• We are seeking a seasoned chemist to provide technical expertise to the production team, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• The selected candidate will work closely with the production manager to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• This role involves supervision of hot press and dryer operations, ensuring optimal temperature, pressure, and time settings for various products.
• You will be responsible for monitoring and controlling emission levels of hazardous gases during production and escalating any deviations to the production manager.
• A key responsibility will be overseeing the sample testing process, identifying aberrations, and reporting them to the production manager.
• The successful candidate will also supervise the resin making process, track daily consumption, and conduct tests to assess resin quality.
• In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining records of quality measures, facilitating data compilation, and generating periodic quality reports.
• Compliance with applicable BIS/ISI standards is essential, as well as adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• At least 7-10 years of experience in a chemist or related role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of chemical analysis techniques and laboratory procedures.
• Familiarity with plywood manufacturing processes and quality control methods.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

We offer a competitive salary range of ₹800,000 - ₹1,200,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits such as medical insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
