Senior Data Engineer Role

This is a senior-level position that requires extensive experience in designing, developing and deploying scalable enterprise data analytics solutions.

  • We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a Senior Data Engineer.

The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in data engineering or design, with a strong background in developing and deploying scalable data analytics solutions. In addition, the candidate should have experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, as well as containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and deploying scalable data pipelines that integrate structured and unstructured data from various sources into data lakes and warehouses. This includes integration of data factory services, Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure SQL Server, as well as collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and platform engineers to enable analytics and ML use cases.

  • Data Pipeline Design & Development:

The Senior Data Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data solutions are designed and developed to meet business needs. This includes managing environments, performance tuning, and configuration for cloud-native data solutions.

Key Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in SQL and one other programming language (e.g., R, Python, C++, Minitab, SAS, Matlab, VBA).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with security best practices in DevOps and ML Ops.
  • Agile/Scrum operating experience using Azure DevOps.
