Procurement Strategist Role

The role involves leading the procurement function, developing strategic plans to support business objectives. Key responsibilities include managing end-to-end procurement processes, vendor relationships and sourcing strategies.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with the organization's goals for real estate and retail operations.
  2. Lead vendor identification, selection, negotiation, contracting and performance management for all procurement activities.
  3. Evaluate and implement best-in-class procurement practices to ensure efficient, transparent and cost-effective sourcing.
  4. Foster strong relationships with vendors to secure consistent supply, quality and competitive pricing.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely availability of materials and services.
  6. Analyze procurement budgets, identify opportunities for cost savings and ensure compliance with budgetary controls.
  7. Design long-term sourcing strategies for key categories including construction materials, interiors and retail-related inventories.
  8. Monitor procurement risks by assessing suppliers' financial health, delivery performance and quality benchmarks.
  9. Implement technology-driven solutions to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
  10. Ensure legal compliance in supplier contracts and procurement activities.
  11. Provide regular updates on procurement performance, cost savings and supplier scorecards to top management.
  12. Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing procurement team.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration or related field. MBA/PGDM preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 12+ years of procurement experience in the real estate industry.
  • Proven track record of handling procurement for large-scale residential/commercial projects or high-volume retail operations.
  • Strong experience in vendor negotiations, cost control, strategic sourcing and contract management.
