Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate animal intake and rehabilitation, implementing medical and behavioral care protocols.
  • Develop and oversee community outreach programs to promote animal welfare and education.
  • Manage shelter budgets and fundraising activities to support the organization's mission.
  • Maintain compliance with local regulations related to animal welfare and collaborate with other organizations in the field.
  • Oversight of adoption and release processes for rehabilitated animals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree; preference for ex-army or ex-armed forces personnel.
  • Significant experience in animal care and welfare, including medical care and behavioral rehabilitation.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, including staff and volunteer recruitment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective community outreach and collaboration.
  • Fundraising and budget management expertise.
  • Knowledge of local regulations related to animal welfare.
  • Passion for animal welfare and commitment to YODA's mission.
  • Relevant certifications or degrees in veterinary care, animal behavior, or nonprofit management an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a dynamic environment.
