Database Testing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Testing Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse requirements and design test cases focused on database validation.
  • Write, execute and optimise complex SQL queries to validate business logic, data integrity and workflows.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation between source and target systems.
  • Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Perform backend testing to ensure proper integration of applications with underlying databases.
  • Identify, log and track issues using test management tools such as JIRA or TestRail.
  • Collaborate with developers, DBAs and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Prepare detailed test documentation including test cases, execution results and defect reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in QA with a strong focus on database testing.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, including writing and optimising queries, joins, stored procedures and functions.
  • Strong experience in data validation and reconciliation across multiple systems.
  • At least mid-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to handle client interactions independently.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
