Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Stage Developer to join our team at MSRcosmos LLC as a Freelancer (Homebased / WFH). This is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects and contribute to the growth of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain DataStage ETL jobs according to specifications to ensure seamless data integration across our systems.
  • Optimize existing DataStage jobs for improved performance, ensuring they meet the required standards and deadlines.
  • Review job designs and code created by other DataStage developers, providing constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Troubleshoot DataStage job failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure all DataStage jobs adhere to company standards and best practices, promoting consistency and efficiency.
  • Provide timely support for production DataStage jobs as needed, addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Develop new DataStage jobs to load data into our data warehouse, working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality results.
  • Test DataStage jobs for accuracy and performance, verifying that they meet the specified criteria before deployment.
  • Deploy DataStage jobs to production environments, ensuring smooth execution and minimal downtime.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for all developed jobs, facilitating knowledge sharing and future enhancements.
  • Offer ongoing support for data loads and issue resolution, being available to address any queries or concerns from team members or stakeholders.
  • Work closely with project leaders to help define project timeframes and objectives, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining DataStage ETL jobs.
  • In-depth knowledge of data integration principles, including data transformation, validation, and loading.
  • Strong understanding of database management systems, particularly Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and SQL.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.

Working Arrangements:

  • Freelancer (Homebased / WFH) role, working remotely from India (IST).
  • 8 hours minimum workday, with flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs.

Compensation:
