Job Title: Information Security Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing, implementing, maintaining and improving the Information Security Management System (ISMS) as per ISO 27001:2022 Standard.

  • Establish and maintain ISMS processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and treat identified risks accordingly.
  • Manage security incidents promptly and effectively.
  • Plan and conduct internal audits to evaluate ISMS effectiveness.
  • Analyze root causes of issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Implement best practices in information security to mitigate potential threats.

Responsibilities also include managing risk registers, performing regular risk evaluations, coordinating internal and external audit activities, developing and updating ISMS policies and procedures, conducting awareness training for employees on information security, preparing and distributing security-related emailers and posters.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Information Security Management System (ISMS): Establish, implement, maintain and improve ISMS processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments and treat identified risks accordingly.
  3. Security Incident Management: Manage security incidents promptly and effectively.
  4. Audit and Compliance: Plan and conduct internal audits to evaluate ISMS effectiveness and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Problem-Solving: Analyze root causes of issues and recommend corrective actions.
  6. Security Awareness: Develop and update ISMS policies and procedures, conduct awareness training for employees on information security, prepare and distribute security-related emailers and posters.

Requirements:

  • B.E or Diploma in Computers, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunication, or related field from a recognized University/Board.
  • Certified ISO 27001:2022 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor.
  • 8-12 years of experience, with 4-6 years relevant experience.

Skills:

  • Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
  • Familiarity with ISO 31000 and ISO 27005 Standards.
  • Experience in network and server security.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) security.
  • Familiarity with national and international laws and regulations related to information security.

Preferred Skills:

  • Develop and update ISMS policies and procedures.
  • Conduct awareness training for employees on information security.
  • Prepare and distribute security-related emailers and posters.
  • Manage risk registers and perform regular risk evaluations.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
