Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This role will involve working with various cybersecurity tools and technologies to identify and mitigate potential security threats. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting vulnerability assessments, implementing security controls, and providing recommendations to improve overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security threats
  • Implement security controls to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches
  • Provide recommendations to improve overall security posture and reduce risk
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement incident response plans
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging cybersecurity threats and trends, and provide guidance on best practices to the team
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, preferably with a focus on threat analysis and mitigation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in a range of cybersecurity tools and technologies, including Hadoop, Elastic, Kibana, Syslog, Kafka, Perl, Python, MongoDB, MySQL, and cloud computing platforms
