Job Opportunity: Data Governance Lead

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented professional to manage the development and execution of enterprise-wide data governance initiatives.

This role will be instrumental in ensuring that data is managed as a strategic asset, supporting privacy compliance, data quality, and ethical data use across the organization.

The ideal candidate has a blend of Data Governance, Data Privacy, and Compliance experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of an enterprise-wide data governance framework.
  • Establish clear roles and responsibilities for data owners and stewards across business units.
  • Facilitate cross-functional stewardship programs and councils to ensure accountability for authoritative data sources, data quality, accuracy, lineage, privacy, and compliance.
  • Develop and implement data quality standards, validation rules, and monitoring processes.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to remediate data issues and improve trust in enterprise data assets.
  • Direct the classification of data assets based on sensitivity, regulatory impact, and business value.
  • Partner with Privacy, Security, and Legal teams to ensure appropriate controls are applied to sensitive and regulated data.
