Senior ETL Developer Job Description

This is a challenging opportunity to take on the role of a Senior ETL Developer, working on exciting projects that are shaping the future of telecommunications. The ideal candidate will be involved in building innovative mobile apps that enhance user experiences and enable seamless connectivity on-the-go.

The successful candidate will have expertise in ETL tools, relational databases, cloud-native databases, high-volume data ingestion, and programming in Python. They will also excel as both an individual contributor and a collaborative team member, driving ETL best practices.

  • Develop high-level design for transformation from given requirements
  • Design and develop ETL pipelines based on the design
  • Implement stored procedures if required to support the ETL pipeline
  • Write highly optimized queries to ingest data into relational databases
  • Develop external code using 4GL programming languages, including Linux shell scripts
  • Support migration from on-premise to cloud-native ETL solutions
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • ETL Tools: IBM DataStage is advantageous
  • Good knowledge of relational databases
  • Knowledge of public cloud platforms
  • Knowledge of real-time streaming tools
  • Knowledge of 4GL programming languages
Key Requirements:
  • Computer Science or Engineering Degree
  • 5+ years' experience as a ETL Developer using ETL tools
  • 5+ years' experience working with relational databases
  • 3+ years' experience working with high-volume data ingestion
  • 3+ years' experience working with Cloud native databases and ETL solutions
  • Exposure to fourth-generation programming languages such as Python
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor and as part of an agile team member
  • Motivated individual to drive ETL best practices
