Employment Law Specialist

The role of Senior Associate is available in a leading Employment Law practice. We seek a professional with deep expertise in labour and employment laws, strong advisory skills, and ability to lead mandates across sectors.

This high-visibility role is for an individual who thrives in fast-paced, advisory-heavy environment and is ready to take the lead on complex employment law matters including compliance, investigations, and contentious issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on wide range of employment and labour law issues including employment contracts, HR policies, compensation structures, and termination matters.
  • Represent clients before labour authorities, tribunals, and other forums as necessary.
  • Draft and negotiate employment-related documentation and settlement agreements.
  • Stay abreast of developments in Indian employment law and contribute to knowledge management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including litigation, corporate, and compliance teams.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates in the practice.

Candidate Profile:

  • LL.B. from reputed law school.
  • 7–12 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with top-tier law firm or leading in-house legal department.
  • Strong command of Indian labour laws, industrial regulations, and case law developments.
  • Excellent legal drafting, research, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in handling sensitive investigations and employment litigation preferred.
  • Business-oriented mindset with excellent client-handling skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments independently and under deadlines.
  • Team player with collaborative working style.
