We are seeking a talented IC Design Engineer to develop and maintain our standard cell library from scratch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing PPA tradeoff between different cell circuit architectures in real-world usage environments.
  • Collaborating with the layout team to define floor plans and layout guidelines for schematics, performing layout reviews for optimal design.
  • Designing and implementing combinatorial, power management, and sequential circuits.
  • Running equivalence verification using ESPCV and verifying functionality, performance, and power of developed circuits.
  • Characterizing and generating views of libraries with custom PVT corners.
  • Modeling new and existing cells to support industry-wide PnR, simulation, and signoff tools.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of work, design flows, and reports.
  • Automating manual tasks to reduce overall time and effort.

Experience with standard EDA tools such as RC-extraction, SPICE simulators, and schematic/layout editors is required. Familiarity with views like LEF, NLDM, CCS, and LIB is also necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Verilog HDL, SystemVerilog, and digital logic design.
  • Software Tools: Experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Primetime, and other EDA tools.
